The ADP3211 is a high efficiency, single-phase synchronous step-down switching regulator controller. The ADP3211 has an integrated driver and is suitable for converting the laptop battery voltage to the supply voltage required by high performance Intel chipsets. An internal 7-bit DAC is used to read the VID code directly from the chipset or CPU and set the GMCH rendering voltage or CPU core voltage to a value in the range of 0 V to 1.5 V.
