Customized for automotive applications. The device is pin compatible with standard HC4051 and MC14051B analog multiplexer/demultiplexers, but with injection current effect control. Therefore, these devices are especially useful in automotive applications, where power supplies above normal logic voltages are common. Injection current effect control allows signals at disabled analog input channels to exceed the supply voltage range without affecting signals at enabled analog channels. Therefore, no external diode/resistor network is required to maintain the analog channel signal within the supply voltage range. These devices use a low-power silicon-gate CMOS process. Channel select and enable inputs are compatible with standard CMOS or LSTTL outputs.
